MCA indoor academy to resume activities

Finally, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has decided to resume activity in their state-of-the-art indoor academy at the Bandra Kurla Complex

A meeting of top MCA officials was called on June 2 to decide the fate of the Rs 20 crore academy which has been virtually shut since July 2011.

“We are starting the indoor academy from July 1,” Dr PV Shetty, who convened the meeting, told MiD DAY yesterday. “We discussed the functioning, maintenance and how to work efficiently at the academy. We will begin our off-season training soon,” added Dr Shetty, who is the Joint Secretary of the
association.
