Shastri Nagar SC got the better of Classic FC by a close 2-1 margin in the Division II match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League at St Xavier's ground, Parel yesterday. Darryl Verghese opened the scoring for Shastri Nagar in the seventh minute before Binoy Pinto doubled the lead in the 16th minute.

Classic FC managed to reduce the deficit through Zahid Khan's goal in the 18th minute. The MDFA Super Division will commence at the Andheri Sports Complex's Mumbai Football Arena from today.
