Vellankanni SC got the better of a spirited Franco SC by a 2-1 margin in an absorbing First Division match of the MDFA League played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel yesterday.

Playing in tiring underfoot conditions, Vellankanni managed to strike twice through the efforts of Arnold Monteiro and Deon Pereira, while Franco SC managed to score their lone goal through Siddharth Kale.
