Newly formed Mumbai Warriors SC scored a comfortable 2-0 win over West Zone United in a Super Division match of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) League at the Poinsur Gymkhana ground, Kandivli.

Warriors Nigerian recruit Ikenna Ahukanna scored a brace. Ikenna's first goal came following an assist from Kshitij Dhabolkar in the 8th minute. Five minutes later he capitalised on a weak defensive clearance to help his team qualify for the playoffs.
