Cadet boys' top seed Mandar Chiplunkar experienced mixed fortunes yesterday in The Malabar Hill Club 3 Star Mumbai City District Table Tennis Tournament.

Mandar advanced to the semi-finals in the cadet boys category beating Yohan Mehta 11-4, 11-8, 11-8, but went down to second seed Tanmay Rane 11-9, 5-11, 6-11, 5-11 in the sub-junior quarter-finals.
