Fatima High School (Vidya Vihar) stormed into the semi-finals with a commanding 46-12 win over Kanakia International School (Chembur) in the girls U-16 Dream Sports Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA) basketball tournament at Azad Maidan on Thursday.
Anushree Kushte’s 25-point display powered Fatima’s offence. She gained solid support from Ayushi Mote and Grace Pereira, who chipped in with four points each, while Shyvonne Mendonca (three), Unnati More (two), Skyra Saldanha (two), and Esha Agnihotri (one) also got onto the scoresheet.
For Kanakia International, Hea Khemani top-scored with five points, while Sanjana Gore (four), Laisha Shetty (two), and Aisha Bamle (one) also added to the tally.
