Mumbai clinch two golds in State fencing

<p>Mumbai City under-17 fencing team bagged five medals including two gold at the 13th Cadet State Fencing competition held at Ahmednagar recently.</p>
Mumbai City under-17 fencing team bagged five medals including two gold at the 13th Cadet State Fencing competition held at Ahmednagar recently. Mumbai boys’ team comprising Ajay Mayure, Tanishq Suryawanshi, Tushar Naidu and Vansh Mehta defeated Sangli District team 15-7 in the final to clinch first gold medal in epee category. In foil individual class, Viabhavi Ingle beat Pune’s Latika Lodha (5-1) in a one sided affair to win second gold medal for Mumbai team.
Mumbai girls team, which included Vaibhavi Ingle, Prachi Patel, Zaynab Ahmed and Bhavya Ganatra clinched silver in foil and sabre category, while epee team (Zaynab Ahmed, Prachi Patel, Esha Bhanot and Cheryll Bhorasiya) won bronze medal.
