Ocean And Beyond for Idar Gold Trophy

The grade 3, Idar Gold Trophy is the feature event of Saturday's ten-race card. Hills And Stars, carrying Dr Cyrus Poonawalla's silks, is trained by S Padmanabhan, and has recently humbled the Bangalore Derby winner Toroloco on his home track over today's trip. He will be ridden by the in-form A Sandesh and will most likely command favoritism.
However, Ocean And Beyond (C Rajendra up), trained by Cooji Katrak, moved very attractively in his last run on this track despite racing after a lay-off of almost nine months and carrying a heavy impost of 63 kg, and therefore, I feel he can show further improvement and may be able to trick the favourite and win the Idar Gold Trophy.
First race at 1 pm.
