Chris Paul beat rookie Jonny Flynn on an inbounds pass and hit a layup with 1.4 seconds remaining on Wednesday to lift New Orleans to a 97-96 NBA victory over Minnesota.

Paul, playing is third game since returning from a sprained left ankle, finished with 15 points and 14 assists. The Hornets trailed by one with less than four seconds left when Paul fired an inbounds pass to David West.
