The Indian however, were not disappointed but instead proud of their efforts that saw them register personal best times of 15:15.89 seconds (Preeja) and 15:16.54 (Kavita). They blamed tired legs for not being able to produce that extra bit in the homestretch even as Mimi blazed away to the finish line. "She (Mimi) did not run in the 10,000m race, so she had a fresh pair of legs. In contrast, there was a little bit of tiredness in us after the 10,000m event," Preeja said. The duo claimed that they had followed their coaches' plans. "The idea was to keep pace with the top runner which we did throughout the race. Then our coaches told us to start kicking as soon as the pack breaks off for the final leg. We did that too and chased the Bahrain girl hard but just could not catch up with her," said Preeja. However, their coaches and athletes were satisfied with the timings. "The fact that both of us have managed to get our personal best timings is good enough," said Kavita.u00a0
