World No 4 and former state champion Riyaz Akbar Ali won the men's open title at the 51st Maharashtra State and inter-district carrom championship held under the auspices of Mumbai District Carrom Association & Maharashtra Carrom Association at Shramik Gymkhana NM Joshi Marg, Lower Parel recently.

He beat former national and asian champ Sandeep Deorukhkar 25-11,25-15 in the final.
