Rizvi Springfield (Bandra) entered the Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA) Harris Shield Elite Division final by virtue of a first innings lead against Don Bosco (Matunga) yesterday.

In the final, Rizvi will take on Al-Barkaat MMI (Kurla). Earlier, Rizvi had been suspended from the Harris Shield for fielding an overage player — a ban which was later overturned. After Rizvi declared their first innings at 611-9 on Day Two, it was their spin duo — Abhishek Yadav (left-arm spinner) and Prashant Solanki (leg spinner) who took 4-42 and 3-36 respectively to get the Matunga team out for 220.

Abhishek scalped the wickets of Bhupen Lalwani (42), Yash Patil (3), Sagar Samant (5) and Pratyush Haldarkar (0) while Prashant dismissed Shreeraj Gharat (41), Rohit Desai (64) and Ritik Ankush (13).
