After a long wait, the Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) finally received permission from the government of Maharashtra to conduct online betting on horse races. A senior official of the club confirmed the development.

The race club has already entered into contact with Paytm first Games who have been relaying the Pune races live through their app. With all the arrangements already in place, the online betting operations are expected to start with the Sunday card at Pune.
