Tennis ace Aryna Sabalenka has had a week to remember, not just because she clinched the Miami Open title by defeating Coco Gauff 6-2, 4-6, 6-3, but also given the fact that she met Brazilian football icon Ronaldo Nazario.
The Belarusian World No. 1 Instagrammed a series of pictures capturing her eventful week in Miami, and in one of them she is seen standing alongside the former Real Madrid and Inter Milan striker, who gifted her a signed Brazil football team jersey. Sabalenka is engaged to Brazilian businessman Georgios Frangulis which possibly explains the connect with Ronaldo, 49, who attended her semi-final against Elena Rybakina.
Ronaldo, nicknamed O Fenomeno (the phenomenon), played 98 games for Brazil, scoring 62 goals, and was also part of their victorious World Cup sides in 1994 and 2002.
