Glasgow: India&rsquo;s Anand Pawar moved into second round of the men&rsquo;s singles event even as his compatriot Aditya Prakash bowed out in the opening clash of the USD&nbsp;50,000 Scottish Open Grand Prix badminton tournament, yesterday.

Pawar, seeded 11th, took just 43 minutes to get the better of local lad Kieran Merrilees 21-18, 21-18 to register his second win over his opponent in as many matches.
Prakash exits But it was curtains for Prakash as he lost 4-21, 20-22 against Sam Parsons of England in 28 minutes.
Pawar will next play Germany&rsquo;s Dieter Domke. The German stunned seventh seed Vladimir Malkov of Russia 21-12, 15-21, 21-16 in another opening round clash.
