US tennis star Serena Williams shares a close friendship with Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle and despite her royal status, Williams says their friendship is still the same. Markle recently came to support the former World No. 1 at the Wimbledon final, which she lost to Germany's Angelique Kerber.

"We've always had a wonderful friendship and every year for a couple years she comes out to Wimbledon and has supported me. Now she's supporting me in a different role. Our friendship is still exactly the same. We always have supported each other," Williams told Tennis World USA. The duo have been friends since 2010 when they reportedly met at the Super Bowl in Miami. Previously, the Duchess attended Wimbledon in 2016 when she was secretly dating Prince Harry.
