Sethi, Chauhan fight hard to enter second qualifying round

Mumbai: Krantivir Sethi of Haryana and Vikas Chauhan of Uttar Pradesh, both worked hard to win their respective boys under-19 singles first round qualifying matches in the 3rd Gautam Thakkar Memorial All India Junior Badminton Tournament here yesterday.
Krantivir fought back after dropping the opening game to overcome a spirited Nithin D. from Andhra Pradesh winning at 8-15, 15-11, 15-11. Vikas started off well by comfortably winning the first game against Rohit K. of Karnataka.
But he lost focus in the second which he lost before coming back to win the third to record a 15-10, 11-15, 15-14 victory.
