Kuwait: 10m Air Rifle shooter Pooja Ghatkar shot a world class score of 208.8 to clinch the gold medal in the Asian Championships in Kuwait yesterday.

She emerged victorious beating a strong field of shooters including 2012 London Olympic gold medallist Yi Siling of China who won bronze.
Pooja&rsquo;s medal gives India its first gold of the 10m Asian Championships 2014. She said, &ldquo;I am really thrilled by this victory. It will give me a lot of confidence right at the start of the season. I am training very hard for the World Cups this year and also for the Commonwealth Games and the Asian Games.&rdquo;
