Indonesia’s star shuttler and Olympic doubles gold medallist Markis Kido, 36, passed away after suffering a heart attack, the Badminton World Federation (BWF) announced via Twitter on Monday.
“Sad news coming in: Markis Kido, former Olympic good medallist and world champion, passed away today due to a heart attack. He will be missed,” tweeted the BWF.
