New Delhi: World Championship bronze medallist P V Sindhu rose one more place to close the gap with ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal in the latest world ranking released in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday.
Sindhu reached the ninth spot, to stay two places behind Saina, who remained static at the seventh spot.

The 18-year-old, who reached the finals of Syed Modi International before winning the All India Open Senior Ranking in Kochi, currently has 55752 points, just 3928 points behind the Olympic bronze medallist.
Chinese Olympic gold medallist Li Xuerui leads the women's singles rankings.
Both Sindhu and Saina will be playing the All England Open Championships from March 4 to 9 next.
In men's singles, Parupalli Kashyap remains India's highest ranked player at number 18 while rising shuttler Kidambi Srikanth dropped a place to 21. Mumbai's Ajay Jayaram has remained on the 22th spot. Malaysian legend Lee Chong Wei leads the men's rankings.
No Indian figures in the top-25 of the men's, women's and mixed doubles rankings.
