PV Sindhu criticised the Sports Authority of India’s (SAI) decision to not finance the Indian shuttlers’s European campaign (Finland, Denmark, France and Germany). 

She argues that funding athletes should be viewed as an investment in the country’s sporting future rather than an unnecessary burden on the system.
