India's Somdev Devvarman crashed out of the men's singles opening round of the Shanghai Masters tennis with a 4-6, 3-6 loss to Spain's Guillermo Garcia-Lopez here yesterday.
Garcia-Lopez claimed the 150th victory of his career in just 87 minutes. Lopez next plays his top seeded compatriot Rafael Nadal.
Meanwhile, USA's Andy Roddick survived an opening round scare with a 6-2, 3-6, 6-2 win over Taiwan's Lu Yen-hsun.
