Victor Cabedo, a 23-year-old Spanish cyclist with the Euskaltel-Euskadi team, died on Wednesday after being hit by a car during a training run in the eastern village of Almedijar, a police source revealed.

Cabedo made his professional cycling debut last year and had been riding with the Euskaltel-Euskadi team.
