Cairo: India's ace squash player Dipika Pallikal lost to Mariam Metwally of Egypt in the first round of the Wadi Dagla Open here on Monday.
The 25-year-old Indian lost 11-5, 11-9, 6-11, 7-11, 8-11 in the opening contest of the tournament.
