Squash honours for Dixit, Pallikal

Colombo: Ravi Dixit created history on Saturday by becoming the first Indian to win the boys title in the Asian Junior individual squash championship as he defeated Waqas Mehboob of Pakistan 8-11, 8-11, 13-11, 11-5, 11-9 in the final.

Making this a historical day for India was Dipika Pallikal, who won the girls crown, defeating second seed Low Wee Nee of Malaysia 11-8, 12-10, 10-12, 11-8.

Kush Kumar and Abhishek Pradhan won the bronze medal in the boys u-15 and u-19 categories, respectively, while Lakshaya Ragvendran and Anaka Alankamony finished fourth in the girls u-15 and u-19 categories respectively.
