Romanian tennis star Simona Halep, 29, is set to marry billionaire Toni Luruc, 41, on Wednesday. The former World No. 1&rsquo;s wedding will be held in Constanta, a coastal city in Romania.
According to Tennis World USA, Halep told Romanian broadcasts: &ldquo;It&rsquo;s [wedding] a beautiful event. I am emotional. It&rsquo;s an extremely important step. I&rsquo;m happy it&rsquo;s happening.&rdquo;
<a href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/simona+halep-all">Halep</a> and Luruc, a high-profile businessman from Macedonia who owns various companies in Romania, have been dating since 2018. He has been married twice before. At the US Open, Halep&rsquo;s third event since being sidelined with a leg injury at Rome, she suffered a 6-3, 6-3 loss to Ukrain&rsquo;e Elina Svitolina in the Round-of-16. Halep is yet to announce when she will take the court again.
