India went down 0-3 to France in the semi-finals of the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/other-sports/article/lakshya-sen-satwiksairaj-rankireddy-and-chirag-shetty-star-in-3-0-quarter-final-win-23628495" rel="nofollow">Thomas Cup</a>, settling for a bronze medal here on Saturday. Ayush Shetty, who played the opening singles game due to Lakshya Sen&rsquo;s injury, went down 11-21, 9-21 to Christo Popov.
Kidambi Srikanth lost the second singles match to Alex Lanier 16-21, 18-21, before HS Prannoy succumbed to a 19-21, 16-21 defeat against Toma Junior Popov in the third match.&nbsp;
Srikanth reckoned they did not play too badly overall, but felt they were slow to get off the blocks and should have done better towards the end of games too. &ldquo;I think we played alright for the most part. Just the few points at the start and the end, we could have done better there,&rdquo; said Srikanth.
