A small seven-race card is framed for the Sunday races at Mahalaxmi, with the Colts' and Fillies' Championships, sponsored by Shapoorji Pallonji & Forbes respectively, featuring as the main attraction.

With only seven runners in the Colts' and six in the Fillies', the championship races certainly lack in quantity, but some of the participants in both the races more than make up for it in terms of quality.
