Top seed Vaishnavi in CCI-ITF semis

India's top seed Vaishnavi Peddi Reddy from Hyderabad marched into the semi-finals of the CCI-ITF Junior Boys' & Girls' U-18 tennis championship at the Cricket Club of India courts yesterday. Seventeen-year-old Vaishnavi beat compatriot and eighth seed Vasanti Shinde 6-2, 6-2 victory.
Vaishnavi, will clash with fifth seed Yekaterina Gubanova of Kazakhstan for a place in the final. Yekaterina rallied to beat fourth seed Teertha Iska of India 4-6, 7-5, 6-4.
