Two more gold for India, Somdev in final

India's gold haul continued at the Commonwealth games Friday with women archers and men shooters bagging one each to take the count to 16. Home teams in tennis, table tennis and badminton are assured of medals as they have entered the finals.

India's gold haul continued at the Commonwealth games Friday with women archers and men shooters bagging one each to take the count to 16. Home teams in tennis, table tennis and badminton are assured of medals as they have entered the finals.

The first gold on the fifth day of the competitions came from the women's recurve team in archery. Dola Banerjee, Bombayala Devi and Deepika Kumari, beat England in the final at the Yamuna Sports Complex for the top honour.

Shooters kept up their domination of the ranges with Gagan Narang and Imran Hassan Khan winning the gold in the men's 50m rifle 3 position event. Of India's 16 golds, eight have come from the shooters.
