American basketball team Shooting For Success at Don Bosco (Matunga) yesterday. pic/atul kamble</td></tr></tbody></table>Hailing from the land where basketball found its origin, American side Shooting For Success didn't quite manage to catch the fancy of the spectators when they made their debut at the UPL-Savio Cup Basketball tournament at Don Bosco (Matunga) last year. This time though they believe they are all set to excel in the annual event, where they finished third last time around. They are counting on their height to make all the difference. Former Harlem Globetrot-ters and German Pro League player David Jones, who is founder and co-producer of the team, said the crowd will see a totally different side this year. "We are a very promising team this time. This is a whole new bunch of players. The guys are bigger, faster, stronger and more experienced than last year," Jones said yesterday as the team arrived at Don Bosco's basketball courts for practice. Boasting of a player Reggie Dunn who stands 6 feet 8 inches tall, Jones believes his teams' size will make all the difference. "Reggie is the tallest among us, but every member of our team is above six feet and that's obviously a huge plus. Besides, the guys are a hardworking lot and very keen to do well here," said Jones, who initiated the concept 'Shooting For Success' to help American youth co-relate basketball with building up individual character. "Our mission is to help guys fulfill their life's dreams through basketball," said Jones. Shooting For Successu00a0 take on ONGC in their opening encounter today.
