London: The verbal sparring between Vijender Singh and Sonny Whiting has begun ahead of the Indian boxing superstar's professional debut on October 10 at the Manchester Arena, England.

Whiting, who trains under the world famous East London boxing figure Johnny Greaves, fired the first salvo by saying: "I don't care who is in front of me on the night, they're going to get beat, plain and simple. I hear that Vijender is a massive superstar in India, well I'll be looking to send a brutal message back to his home when I beat him."
