India's star boxer Vijender Singh says he's fully prepared and confident of bettering his Beijing bronze in London
In the case of India’s poster boy of boxing Beijing Olympics bronze medalist Vijender Singh, there’s a fourth element to the famous joke that a relationship comprises of three rings —engagement ring, wedding ring and suffer-ring. “Boxing ring,” he says with a laugh.u00a0
Despite having tied the knot in May last year to Delhi-based software engineer Archana Singh, the 2010 Asian Games gold-winning Middleweight fighter continues to live the life of a bachelor as he trains along with the seven-member Indian boxing contingent at the National Institute of Sport in Patiala for next month’s London Olympics. Vijender is not complaining though and is instead relishing the responsibility of living up to the dreams of a billion-plus Indians, who expect him to win every time he steps into the ring.
