Jannik Sinner said at the customary Champions’ dinner after the final that he had been drinking to celebrate his maiden title at Wimbledon.
The Italian World No. 1, who arrived after his four-set victory over Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, said: “We were drinking quite a lot [in the last few hours before the dinner party] So, it’s a bit turning, the head, but it’s all good. It’s very special to have my family here and the whole team. It’s also special to see Iga [Swiatek] here with family and team. It’s amazing. My drink of choice tonight? Champagne.”
