The Rouse Avenue Court on Monday acquitted former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and co-accused Vinod Tomar in the sexual harassment case brought forward by several female wrestlers. Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) Ashwani Panwar pronounced the verdict following closed-door proceedings, with the detailed judgment set to be uploaded soon.

The charges stemmed from a 1,500-page charge sheet submitted by the Delhi Police in June 2023 following intense protests at Jantar Mantar. The allegations against Singh spanned offences under Sections 354, 354A, 354D, 506(1), and 109 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), accusing him of sexual harassment during his leadership of the federation.
