Yash Salunkhe's half-century put Shastri XI in drivers seat on Day One of the two-day tie of the U-14 Varroc Cup organised by Dilip Vengsarkar Foundation at the Oval maidan yesterday.

Yash was well supported by Suved Parkar (41) as the duo stitched together a 59-run partnership for the sixth wicket against Tendulkar XI. The team was all out for 221.
