Admire photos from the last century
10 AM – 5.30 PM: Works by the quintessential biographer of filmmaker Satyajit Ray, Nemai Ghosh, are on display at the museum. Ghosh’s photographs are an eloquent documentation of Indian cinema, specially highlighting mainstream cinema from erstwhile Bombay as well as regional Bengali cinema. On show are several iconic and never-before-seen images of actors, scenes, sets and locations taken over a 25-year period. The accompanying catalogue carries wide-raging essays by writers on cinema, besides plates of exhibition images.
