Popular television actor Arjun Bijlani recently lost his father-in-law, Rakesh Chandra Swami, on January 1, 2026. As the family copes with the loss, Arjun has now penned an emotional tribute for his father-in-law via an Instagram post. Notably, Arjun was believed to be very close to his father-in-law, especially since he lost his own father early.
Arjun took to Instagram to pay a heartfelt tribute to his late father-in-law. He shared that he will always treasure the words of wisdom from him over the years. He also promised to take care of his better half, Neha, and son Ayaan in the absence of his father-in-law in their life. Arjun shared some throwback pictures on social media, recollecting the fond memories with his father-in-law.
Arjun penned an emotional note which read, "Om Shanti Papa !! Aap ki batein aur seek hamesha hamare saath Rahengi..!! Neha aur Ayaan ka poora Dhyaan rakhoonga chinta mat karna.. (!! Your words of wisdom and advice will always stay with us!! I will take full care of Neha and Ayaan, don't worry.) !! Love u always !! Sri Rakesh Chandra Swami !! 1956-2026. !! omshanti (sic)."
Arjun Bijlani's father-in-law, Rakesh Chandra Swami, passed away on January 1, 2026, after suffering a brain stroke. Arjun and his wife, Neha, were reportedly in Dubai with their son Ayaan for their New Year vacation when his health deteriorated. He was admitted to the ICU and was put on ventillator for being in a critical state. The couple cut short their trip and rushed back home on Wednesday evening before Swami breathed his last on Thursday morning. He is survived by his son, Nishank, and daughter, Neha.
His last rites were held on January 1, wherein Arjun and Neha were seen breaking down. Arjun was also seen consoling his son during the funeral.
Several prominent names from the television industry, such as Ravie Dubey, Ankita Lokhande, Kanika Mann, Mouni Roy, and Nia Sharma, along with others, attended the prayer meet of Arjun Bijlani's father-in-law to pay their last respects to the deceased and console the grieving family.
