UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer visited Khyber, one of Mumbai's most iconic dining institutions, while in the city. The Prime Minister and his delegation from the British High Commission attended a sit-down dinner for 40 guests at the landmark restaurant in Kala Ghoda, renowned for its North-West Frontier cuisine and rich cultural legacy.
Soaking in the spirit of the city and India not only culturally, but also gastronomically, he indulged in a menu for the evening that featured a wide variety of Khyber favourites. Some of them were dishes such as Paneer Tikka Masala, Chicken Kagani, Jeera Aloo, Dal Makhani, Steamed Rice, Reshmi Broccoli, Chicken Reshmi Kebab, Palak Paneer, and Chicken Rara, among others. Incidentally, these dishes are some of many that have defined the restaurant's legacy for over six decades.
Coincidentally, the restaurant is currently celebrating its 65th anniversary, and is one of many Mumbai food establishments that have stood the test of time, and continues to stand as a symbol of India's culture and hospitality. It was founded by Sudheer Bahl and is now led by his son Ishaan Bahl, who is a third-generation restauranteur.
