Central Railway has registered impressive freight loading figures for April 2026, moving 6.72 million tonnes (MT) of cargo in 2,582 rakes and generating revenue of Rs 708.14 crore.

The railway loaded 6.72 MT in April 2026 as compared to 6.57 MT in April 2025, registering a growth of over 2 per cent in tonnage. The number of rakes also increased from 2,490 to 2,582, marking an addition of 92 rakes.
