Actor Mukul Dev passed away late last night at the age of 54. He had been unwell for several days and was admitted to the ICU, where his condition worsened. He is survived by his brother, actor Rahul Dev.
Mukul Dev was keeping to himself
The news was confirmed by Vindu Dara Singh, who had worked alongside Mukul in the film Son of Sardaar (2012). Sharing his grief, Vindu told mid-day, “After his parents' death, Mukul was keeping to himself. He wouldn't even step out of the house or meet anyone. His health deteriorated in the last few days and was in the hospital. My condolences to his brother and everyone who knew and loved him.”
Singh also took to social media to share a video with Dev from the sets of the film 'Son of Sardaar' while paying a tribute.
"Rest in peace my brother #MukulDev ! The time spent with you will always be cherished and #SonOfSardaar2 will be your swansong where you will spread joy and happiness to the viewers and make them fall down laughing," Singh wrote.

Manoj Bajpayee grieves his loss
Actor Manoj Bajpayee took to social media, expressing grief over Dev’s untimely demise. He wrote, “It’s impossible to put into words what I’m feeling. Mukul was a brother in spirit, an artist whose warmth and passion were unmatched. Gone too soon, too young. Praying for strength and healing for his family and everyone grieving this loss. Miss you meri jaan…until we meet again, Om Shanti.”

Actr Nassir Khan took to Facebook and expressed his condolences on the demise of his friend. "This is how i knew u, this is how i know u & this is how i will remember u Mukul Dev .RiP my friend. Deepest condolences to the family, friends n fans," he wrote on social media sharing an old picture of Mukul Dev.
