Anupam Kher recently spoke candidly about his marriage with Kirron Kher, admitting it's not perfect. He shares how he has hurt her many times but still kept alive the respect for her. He also reveals how she was once pregnant with their but it didn’t progress as expected

Anupam Kher is a versatile actor, and he has proved it with his first-ever stint in Saransh. Since then, he has been a part of several iconic films. Apart from his professional endeavours, the actor has been in the headlines for his married life with Kirron Kher. In a recent interview, he shares how he does not have the best married life and reveals Kirron conceiving a child, but things went haywire.

Speaking about his own marital journey, the Kashmir Files actor says, “I accepted the fact that there will be failures in life, and that you have to work on yourself. That’s why I have achieved success both professionally and personally. It’s not like I have the best marriage in the world.”
He continued, “Exhaustion is a part of any relationship. At some stage, that so-called fire may disappear. But memories will remain, and your intention to work on the relationship will remain. That is what has remained in my relationship. I know I have hurt her sometimes, but what I have kept alive is my respect for her, my compassion, and my togetherness of emotion.”

When asked why he decided not to have children, he shared that Kirron could not conceive and when she did, the child’s growth wasn’t as expected. “So it didn’t happen at first. Kirron could not conceive it and then once she conceived, she had to.. sort of… it was not growing in the right manner. I was too busy making it big.”
About Anupam and Kirron relationship
For the unversed, Kirron was previously married to businessman Gautam Berry. Kirron and Gautam were blessed with a child, Sikandar. Their marriage didn’t last long and they got divorced. Anupam too was married to Madhumalti Kapoor, however, in less than a year they parted ways. Later, the actors met for the first time in Chandigarh during theatre days and fell in love. They tied the knot in 1985, and after marriage, Anupam adopted Kirron Kher’s son, Sikandar, and gave him his surname.
On the work front, Anupam is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Tanvi The Great. The film is set for release this Friday.
