Arjun Kapoor is playing antagonist in Ajay Devgn's Singham Again, confirms Boney Kapoor

In an interview with The New Indian, Boney Kapoor confirmed that Arjun Kapoor is the antagonist in Ajay Devgn's Singham Again

In his decade-long career, Arjun Kapoor has experimented with a variety of subjects. Be it comedy or romance, he has done it all. Recently, there were reports of the actor being signed to play the antagonist in Ajay Devgn's Singham Again. While the makers of the Rohit Shetty-actioner are yet to make an official announcement, Arjun's father, Boney Kapoor, confirmed it in an interview with The New Indian.

Boney was asked about Arjun's career trajectory. The renowned producer said he feels the Ishaqzaade actor is yet to reach his peak. Every man's career has its own journey. I don't think Arjun has reached his peak. Yes, I'm always there for him and guide him."

He revealed Arjun has been signed as the solo antagonist opposite Ajay in Rohit-directed Singham Again. Boney shared, "There are multiple things lined up (for Arjun) and he is happy about those subjects. He is on the threshold of a new kind of characterization. A film of Rohit Shetty was launched where he's the solo villain opposite Ajay Devgn. Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar are also in the film. It is Singham Again (Singham 3). Arjun is playing an antagonist for the first time. Let's see where the film takes him."

Singham Again went on floors on September 16 with Ajay and Ranveer. Sharing pictures from the muhurat puja, Rohit wrote, "Singham, Singham returns, Simmba, Sooryavanshi...12 Years ago, when we made Singham, we never thought that it would turn into a Cop Universe! Today, we begin filming Singham Again... the 5th film in our cop franchisee. ISME HUM APNI JAAN LAGA DENGE! BAS AAPKE PYAAR AUR DUA KI ZAROORAT HAI! Deepika Padukone will play the first female cop in Singham Again. During the launch of Cirkus' first song Current Laga Re in 2022, Rohit announced that Deepika would share the screen space with Ajay as the lady cop. Reportedly, she might be seen as Ajay's sister. Kareena Kapoor Khan will most likely return to the cop universe. 

Singham Again is scheduled to release in theatres globally on Independence Day weekend in 2024.
