Director Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar has emerged as a box-office juggernaut since its theatrical release on December 5. The film, which stars Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, and Sanjay Dutt in pivotal roles, has already crossed Rs 500 crore at the Indian box office.
Arjun Rampal turns DJ, plays FA9LA
Following the film’s release, the Bahraini rap track FA9LA went viral on social media. The song, by Flipperachi, was used as Akshaye Khanna’s entry theme in the film, and the combination of the track and his moves quickly became a social media sensation.
Now, Arjun Rampal has joined the trend by playing the song at a club in Goregaon. In a viral video circulating online, Rampal can be seen taking over the DJ console and playing a remix version of FA9LA. The mood in the club visibly shifts as the track plays, with the actor seen enjoying the moment along with the crowd.
In Dhurandhar, Arjun Rampal essays the role of Major Iqbal, while Akshaye Khanna portrays Rehman Dakait, a menacing Pakistani crime lord and politician.

Flipperachi on the success of FA9LA
Had the Bahraini rapper anticipated this response? “When Ranveer Singh posted the song [on Instagram], I knew it was about to blow up,” the rapper told mid-day.
He reflected, “It’s a combination of everything — the scene, Akshaye Khanna’s return, the Arabic lyrics, and the vibe. I saw it before the movie came out, and knew this was going to do something big. The production reached out to my team a while back, and the paperwork was sorted between them.”
Originally released in 2024, the Khaleeji track’s Bollywood success did not worry the rapper. “People often love vibing to our songs because of the fusion element. We’ve done the same with other genres like Brazilian funk and Afrobeat. Often, language isn’t a barrier as long as the music and vibe grab attention,” reasoned Flipperachi, who also has popular tracks like Samboosa and EeLa to his credit.
Meanwhile, Dhurandhar's second part will be released in theatres on March 19, 2026. The first part of the film was 3 hours and 35 minutes long.
