Ayushmann Khurrana recalls how the film Article 15 changed "Article 15 changed the perception about me because I was known for my light-hearted social comedies, and Article 15 was a very serious film based on casteism, and it did commercially really well, which was an anomaly. And Anubhav Sinha had this script, and he never thought about me in it. So I literally stole that film from him. I had watched his film Mulk, and I wanted to work with him. He was offering me a rom-com to which I refuted and asked for Article 15, saying that this is the kind of movie I want to do," Ayushmann said.
Khurrana also discussed his experiences as a journalist, RJ, and VJ, as well as the importance of saying no. "When you're young and just getting started, it's difficult to say no to people. But that's what defines you. During his fireside chat with journalist Mayank Shekhar, Khurana stated that you must follow your conviction, gut instinct, and intuition.
Ayushmann opened up about the kind of films that he picks, especially when it comes to hybrid movies. He said, "I have always been doing hybrid movies. From day one, that was my staple; the risk and reward ratio is very different with my films. They are low budget with more content."
