Amitabh Bachchan surprised everyone on the sets of Teen Patti when he refused a body double and safety cables to do his own dangerous stunt. Armin Sauer, the film's action-director, had planned a sequence where in Bachchan had to hold on to a speeding car's windshield till the car brakes abruptly and throws him on the road.

The German-based action-director, who had worked with Matt Damon (Bourne Supremacy), Adrian Brody (The Pianist) and Ralph Fiennes (The Constant Gardener), was used to directing body doubles ad was surprised that Amitabh wanted to do the stunt on his own. In fact, it was some time before he reluctantly agreed to let the star take the risk. Much to Sauer's astonishment, the veteran actor not only did the stunt without any safety wires, but did it perfectly in the first take itself.
