Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who has been away from the silver screen for quite some time, was seen jetting off to the ongoing edition of the Cannes Film Festival. Her appearance comes amid uncertainty around the actress's appearance at the prestigious film festival. The actress has been attending the film festival every year since 2002. However, this year it was speculated that the actress was asked to sit out. Turns out, the rumours are not true and the actress will indeed be having her red carpet moment at Cannes. 

Aishwarya Rai heads to Cannes 2026

On Thursday night, Aishwarya was seen arriving at the Mumbai airport for her flight to Cannes. The actress was accompanied by her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan as the two twinned in black. The mother-daughter duo posed for the paparazzi before they walked to the departure section of the Terminal 2 of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.
