Hrithik Roshan is currently in the midst of his 12-week training to attain a lean avatar for his next, Fighter. After completing his extensive training under the guidance of Kris Gethin, on November 9, the actor will head to an Air Force base. He will spend a few days there, interacting with the officers and observing them closely, to imbibe the nuances for his role as an Indian Air Force (IAF) pilot. Around mid-November, Duggu will kick off Siddharth Anand’s directorial venture with a 10-day outdoor shoot. It will be followed by a 20-day schedule in a Mumbai studio. What makes the film interesting is that it is said to be a first-of-its-kind aerial action thriller. Moreover, it also marks the maiden collaboration of Hrithik and Deepika Padukone. The movie also features Anil Kapoor in the pivotal role of Duggu’s mentor. After the shoot in Mumbai, Siddharth will take a break for the finishing touches and pre-release promotions of Pathaan, which stars Shah Rukh Khan.

Even as Salman Khan is racing against time to complete Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, he is reportedly planning to start the promotions around Diwali. A source reveals,  “Since the film was known as Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali for a long time, it’s apt that the marketing campaign begins around the festival of lights.” While work on both the teaser and the motion poster is underway, Salman and his team will take a call in the coming days on what asset to release this Diwali.

Talking of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, the film also marks Palak Tiwari’s Bollywood debut. She has been shuttling between Hyderabad and Mumbai for the shoot and other commitments. Palak, who has been getting encouraging response for her work from the movie’s team, decided to treat them. She recently ordered the Charminar city’s famous biryani for her co-actors and crew to thank them for their support. The actors and the crew were touched by the debutante’s gesture. Palak is also in talks with filmmakers from the south and is likely to sign up a big project soon.

Kat’s candid confessions

Kat’s candid confessions

Katrina Kaif made some revelations during the trailer launch of Phone Bhoot, last morning. The actor, who plays a ghost in the horror comedy, was asked who would she love to haunt if she turned into a spirit for a day. “Priyanka Chopra,” she promptly replied, adding, “To see how she does so much work.” Even as the film, co-starring Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi nears its date with cinemas, Kat confessed that she doesn’t watch horror flicks. She said, “I can’t see scary films. I would die on the spot if I ever encounter a ghost.” We’ll soon know if she watches Phone Bhoot, or gives it a miss.

Not courting controversy again

Raja Krishna Menon’s dark comedy series, Baa Baa Black Sheep has reportedly been called off. Apparently, Amazon Prime Video has pulled the plug on the 10-episode show to avoid courting controversy over some religious elements in the narrative. The social satire  is said to revolve around the blind devotion that innumerable gullible folk have towards fake godmen. Though the show is said to have turned out well, the streaming giant didn’t want to risk releasing it, especially considering the ‘tandav’ they faced after the release of political thriller Tandav last January. So, they preferred to put Raja’s show in the cold storage for now.

Karan Johar announced last afternoon that he is quitting the micro-blogging site. He tweeted, “Making space for more positive energies only and this is step one towards that. Goodbye Twitter!” Later, he also deleted his account. The filmmaker, who has been trolled on social media, spoke about it on his chat show, Koffee with Karan, saying that he is used to the negativity. He received plenty of flak for mentioning protégée Alia Bhatt’s name ever-so-frequently this season and in the final episode, the Brahmāstra actor told him over a call to stop mentioning her name in his show.

During a promotional interaction for Doctor G recently, Ayushmann Khurrana shared that a producer gave him a blank cheque to work with him. When the actor asked about the subject and the director, the producer replied that the details would be worked out in good time. Not exactly thrilled with the idea, Ayushmann reportedly said that the script is more important than the remuneration for him. Interestingly, Doctor G is the actor’s first film to be rated A by the Censor Board.
