A head-turner’s tale
Actor Bhagyashree got up-close, and personal while reflecting on ageing, personal growth and her popularity during her school years popularity on mid-day’s podcast, The Bombay Film Story. She said, “I guess don’t carry grudges, and don’t look back in time. I think you age when you look back in time. When you are looking in front, you are ready to grow, to learn, I think that keeps you young.” The actor also opened up about her school years, revealing that moving from an all-girls school to a co-educational environment came as a culture shock. “I was in JB Petit High School [in South Mumbai], an all girls’ school. And in this part of the town (western suburbs) it was a co-ed school, so it was a [cultural shock],” she recalled. Asked if boys crushed on her, the Maine Pyar Kiya (1989) actor admitted, “There were love letters, yes. They would scratch my name of the desk. It was so embarrassing.”
