Secret showdowns

Recently, at The Traitors event, Karan Johar named several hit Amazon Prime shows, except The Family Man, a conspicuous omission reportedly linked to his long-standing feud with its lead, Manoj Bajpayee. The tiff is said to have begun years ago when Manoj’s wife, Shabana Raza, declined a role offered by Karan, who allegedly responded harshly to her, saying, “You people who come from outside will be just flukes.” Years later, a Dharma staffer apparently insulted Manoj when he turned down a role. It has also been noted that Karan has never invited Manoj to Koffee with Karan, further fuelling talk of a rift.

Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh were supposed to start shooting for No Entry 2 in March this year. However, a change in the film’s shooting schedule has left it in limbo. Soon after, rumours of Diljit quitting the film surfaced. The film’s director Anees Bazmee recently revealed that Diljit’s exit was due to a scheduling conflict and not creative differences. He is hopeful that Diljit returns to the film.

Aamir Khan promoted his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par, at the IPL final match in Ahmedabad, on June 3. He took over the commentary box to discuss the game and called Virat Kohli a ‘perfectionist’, a tag that is often associated with Aamir himself. Many viewers felt the promotion was poorly timed. Some also claimed that he was partial towards Virat and his team, Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Miffed with Aamir’s commentary stint, filmmaker Rahul Dholakia took to X, and wrote, “Yaar picture ka promotion karo, gyaan mat baato,” but later deleted his post.

Before and After: Bhuvan BamBefore and After: Bhuvan Bam

YouTuber and actor Bhuvan Bam got ahead of a debate as he shared a statement on Reddit after netizens claimed that he has undergone a surgery to change his facial structure. A thread on the social media platform shows Bhuvan’s ‘before and after’ photos, claiming that the actor has undergone surgery and was looking remarkably different. Bhuvan, himself replied to the post, giving a clarification about the change on his face. “Hi doston! Had a great time reading all the comments regarding my ‘surgery.’ I also felt the same after looking at my changed facial structure, as if I’ve gone under the knife. But it’s just 60 minutes of cardio and one hour of strength training supported by a strict diet. It does wonders trust me,” he wrote. He added, “Also, the second photo is almost a decade old. So naturally people’s appearance changes. A few weeks ago, I underwent a lip surgery because of a painful boil also known as ‘mucocele.’ It had to be removed because I’ve been prepping up for a show and had to be in a certain look.”
